I grew up on the Isle of Bute, a tiny island off the west coast of Scotland, and I couldn't wait to see the world. So I became cabin crew, and spent years flying everywhere and living in London, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Bali and eventually Marbella.
It was the dream job, but how I looked was part of it, and that's where my obsession with food and my weight started. Keeping the number on the scales down became everything. I did hours of cardio, I wouldn't go near a carb, and I swung between restricting and bingeing for most of my twenties. From the outside I looked fit. Inside, the food noise never switched off.
Being diagnosed with ADHD was a turning point. I finally started to understand how my brain works, and to be a lot kinder to myself about it.
Then I ended up in an unhappy marriage, and slowly it all came back. I put weight on, stopped training and stopped recognising the woman in the mirror. When the marriage ended, my life fell apart for a while.
What got me through the divorce was going back to basics: turning up, lifting something heavy, eating well enough to feel human. Strength training became the one thing I could count on, and it's the foundation of everything I've rebuilt since.
That's why I built the 90-Day Rebuild. Big life changes, years of putting everyone else first, a head full of food noise: I've been there, and I know the way back.
